Stella graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, where she competed in Track and Field sprint and middle distance events as well as playing soccer. After graduating Stella continued with her athletic endeavors and went on to play semi-pro soccer and professional women’s tackle football for the New Mexico Burn and then locally for the Chicago Force. Stella worked for 10 years as an exercise physiologist and continued to coach high school track and field and girls soccer in Albuquerque.

Stella joined Sports and Ortho PT in 2011 shortly after graduating from the Fox College PTA program in Tinley Park, IL. Stella has experience working in a variety of settings including acute care, orthopedics, sports performance, and skilled nursing.

Stella is certified in Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute and also has experience with various manual therapy techniques that include Graston, Mulligan, McKenzie, FMR, MFR. Stella believes in treating the whole person and getting them back to their highest level of function so that they can resume activities that they enjoy or introduce them to new activities.

Stella values and enjoys spending time with family and close friends, traveling, cooking, reading, drawing, playing sports.
