Before you book
The questions people ask first.
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?
For most plans, no. Illinois allows direct access, so you can start physical therapy without a doctor’s referral. Medicare, workers’ comp and some commercial plans do require one for coverage, and we’ll confirm yours before your first visit. If you do have a prescription, bring it and we’ll coordinate with your physician.
How soon can I be seen?
A real person follows up on your request within one business day to find you a time. Availability varies by clinic and by time of day, so if you can be flexible, we can usually get you in sooner.
Will my insurance cover it?
We’re in-network with major Illinois plans and we verify your specific benefits and explain them to you before your first visit, so you know your coverage up front. Have your card ready and we’ll handle the rest. See our insurance page for details.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We offer a discounted self-pay rate, explained clearly before your first visit. Current rates are published on our self-pay pricing page, and payment plans are available.
Can I request a specific clinic or therapist?
You can choose your clinic in the Requested Location field. If you have a therapist in mind, add their name in the additional information and we’ll do our best to accommodate. No preference? Choose Any location and we’ll match you to the clinic and clinician that fit what you need soonest.
What should I bring to the first visit?
Photo ID, your insurance card, and any imaging or referral paperwork you have. More detail on our patient information page.
