Balance & Fall Prevention

Steady, strong, and independent.

A proven program that builds the strength, balance, and confidence to keep you moving through life on your own terms.

Who this is for

This program is for you if…

A fall is not a normal part of aging. It's a warning worth acting on.

Our approach

Balance is trainable at every age.

Balance isn't luck, it's a skill built from leg strength, joint mobility, vision, and your inner ear all working together. When falls start happening, one or more of those systems needs attention, and every one of them can be trained.

We find which systems are letting you down and strengthen them with a program that's challenging, safe, and even fun. The result is measurable steadiness, and the confidence to stop planning your life around the fear of falling.

How we help

Confidence you can measure.

How we build your steadiness.

Balance system assessment

We test strength, vision, inner ear, and sensation to find exactly why you feel unsteady.

Progressive balance training

Challenging but safe exercises that rebuild your steadiness step by step.

Strength for stability

Targeted leg and core strengthening, because strong legs are the foundation of good balance.

Home safety & confidence

Practical guidance for your home and habits, so the gains carry into everyday life.

Insurance & getting started

No referral needed. Most insurance accepted.

In Illinois you can start physical therapy without a doctor's referral, so there's nothing standing between you and relief. We accept most major plans and offer self-pay options. Not sure about your coverage? We'll check it for you before your first visit.

Your first visit

What to expect, start to finish.

Here's exactly what your first visit looks like.

1

We listen first

We start with your history, your symptoms, and the goals that matter to you.

2

We find the cause

We look at how your whole body moves to find what's driving your pain, not just where it hurts.

3

You leave with a plan

A hands-on treatment plan built around your body and your life, and a therapist who stays with you the whole way.

Closely related

Connected care.

One team, one standard

The same care at every clinic.

Every therapist on our team is trained in the entirety of the kinetic chain. That means we look at how your whole body moves, not just the part that hurts, and treat the cause instead of the symptom. You get that same care at all 10 of our clinics.

One proven approach

The same hands-on, whole-body approach guides every plan we build.

One standard, every clinic

Every clinic is held to the same standard, set by therapists with advanced training in how the body moves.

A team that knows you

You'll see the same faces at your home clinic, people who know your name and your goals.

Results that speak

You're in good hands.

Good questions

Balance & fall prevention, answered.

Is it too late to improve my balance?
No. Balance responds to training at every age, and improvement is common even after falls have started.
Is the training safe if I'm already unsteady?
Yes. Every exercise is guarded and matched to your current ability, so you're challenged without being at risk.
Does Medicare cover this?
Medicare typically covers medically necessary balance therapy, and does require a physician referral for coverage. We'll verify your specific benefits before your first visit.
How long until I notice a difference?
Many people feel steadier within a few weeks, and we measure your progress so you can see it too.
Do I need a referral?
For most plans, no. In Illinois you can start without a referral, and we can coordinate with your physician as needed. Medicare does require a referral for coverage, and we'll confirm your benefits before your first visit.
