Joint Replacement Rehab

Your new joint deserves a real recovery.

Milestone-driven rehab after knee or hip replacement that gets you off the walker, over the stairs, and back to the life you replaced the joint for.

Who this is for

This program is for you if…

You replaced the joint to get your life back. Let's go get it.

Our approach

The joint is new. The habits aren't.

By the time a joint gets replaced, your body has often spent years moving around the pain. Those compensation habits don't disappear with surgery, and they're why some people still limp on a perfectly good new joint.

We rebuild your strength and retrain how you actually walk, climb, and move, so your new joint gets to do its job and the rest of your body stops overpaying for the old one.

How we help

From walker to winning again.

A clear, milestone-driven path.

Early mobility & pain control

Getting you moving safely from day one, with hands-on care that calms pain and swelling.

Gait retraining

Unlearning the limp. We retrain how you walk so the new joint moves the way it was designed to.

Strength & stair confidence

Progressive strengthening for the real tests: stairs, curbs, car seats, and long days on your feet.

Back-to-life goals

Golf, travel, gardening, grandkids. We build the plan around what you replaced the joint for.

Insurance & getting started

No referral needed. Most insurance accepted.

In Illinois you can start physical therapy without a doctor's referral, so there's nothing standing between you and relief. We accept most major plans and offer self-pay options. Not sure about your coverage? We'll check it for you before your first visit.

Your first visit

What to expect, start to finish.

Here's exactly what your first visit looks like.

1

We listen first

We start with your history, your symptoms, and the goals that matter to you.

2

We find the cause

We look at how your whole body moves to find what's driving your pain, not just where it hurts.

3

You leave with a plan

A hands-on treatment plan built around your body and your life, and a therapist who stays with you the whole way.

Good questions

Joint replacement rehab, answered.

When does rehab start after a joint replacement?
Usually very quickly, often within days. Early guided movement is a normal, important part of modern joint replacement recovery. We coordinate timing with your surgeon.
How long is recovery after a knee or hip replacement?
Most people make steady gains over several months, with milestones along the way. Your therapist will map yours out so you always know what's next.
I had my replacement months ago and still limp. Can you help?
Very often, yes. Lingering limps are usually habit and strength, not the implant, and both respond well to focused rehab.
Is it covered by insurance?
Most major plans, including Medicare, cover joint replacement rehab. We'll verify your coverage before your first visit.
Do I need a referral?
For most plans, no. In Illinois you can start therapy without a referral, and we'll coordinate with your surgeon from there. Medicare does require a referral for coverage, and we'll confirm your benefits before your first visit.
