Home/Services/Throwing Athletes Program
Throwing Athletes

Protect the arm. Own the mound.

Specialized care for baseball and softball players, from sore shoulders and elbows to full post-surgical rehab and a tested return to throwing.

Who this is for

This program is for you if…

Youth, high school, college, or beyond.

Our approach

Throwing is a whole-body event.

Velocity starts at the ground. Force travels from your legs through your hips and trunk before the arm ever fires, and when that chain leaks, the shoulder and elbow absorb what the body didn't deliver.

That's why we don't just calm the sore arm. We find where your chain is leaking, fix it, and rebuild your throw from the ground up, so the arm stops taking the bill for everyone else's work.

How we help

From sore arm to strong season.

How we care for throwers.

Arm care & recovery

Hands-on treatment for the shoulder and elbow, plus recovery habits that protect them.

Whole-chain assessment

Hips, trunk, and shoulder blade mechanics, because that's where most arm pain actually starts.

Post-surgical throwing rehab

Structured recovery after Tommy John or shoulder surgery, coordinated with your surgeon.

Return-to-throwing program

A progressive, tested throwing progression that brings velocity back the safe way.

Insurance & getting started

No referral needed. Most insurance accepted.

In Illinois you can start physical therapy without a doctor's referral, so there's nothing standing between you and relief. We accept most major plans and offer self-pay options. Not sure about your coverage? We'll check it for you before your first visit.

Your first visit

What to expect, start to finish.

Here's exactly what your first visit looks like.

1

We listen first

We start with your history, your symptoms, and the goals that matter to you.

2

We find the cause

We look at how your whole body moves to find what's driving your pain, not just where it hurts.

3

You leave with a plan

A hands-on treatment plan built around your body and your life, and a therapist who stays with you the whole way.

Common throwing injuries

What we treat.

One team, one standard

The same care at every clinic.

Every therapist on our team is trained in the entirety of the kinetic chain. That means we look at how your whole body moves, not just the part that hurts, and treat the cause instead of the symptom. You get that same care at all 10 of our clinics.

One proven approach

The same hands-on, whole-body approach guides every plan we build.

One standard, every clinic

Every clinic is held to the same standard, set by therapists with advanced training in how the body moves.

A team that knows you

You'll see the same faces at your home clinic, people who know your name and your goals.

Good questions

Throwing athlete care, answered.

How do I know if arm soreness is serious?
Soreness that lingers past a day or two, changes your mechanics, or affects velocity is worth getting checked. Early answers are always better than pushing through.
Do you work with youth pitchers?
Yes, regularly. Growing arms need different care, and we work with parents and coaches on workloads that protect them.
Do you handle Tommy John rehab?
Yes. We follow your surgeon's protocol through the full timeline, including the return-to-throwing progression.
Can you help me get velocity back?
Often, yes, because lost velocity usually traces to the chain, not just the arm. We find the leak and rebuild it.
Do I need a referral?
For most plans, no. Illinois direct access lets you book directly with us. Medicare and workers' comp do require a referral, and we'll confirm your coverage before your first visit.
