I think of myself as a biomechanics detective. Finding out why a body is doing what it is doing is the part of this job I love most.
I have loved the health and wellness field since I was young, and I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy at Northwestern University. What drew me specifically to physical therapy was the investigative side of it. I like the puzzle of working out what is actually driving a problem.
I am a true believer in treating the mind and the body together. That means looking past the spot that hurts to understand the whole picture, then building a plan that gets you back to doing things independently rather than depending on us. I also work with POTS and dysautonomia, which are conditions that often go a long time without the right kind of movement care.
Outside the clinic I enjoy biking, cooking, baking, and interior decorating.
