Chrissy has worked as both an athletic trainer and physical therapist with athletes in the NFL, MLB and AFL and Division I soccer, as well as athletes preparing for the NFL combine. Additionally, Chrissy has significant experience working with dancers, gymnasts and high school athletes rehabbing from exercise and preparing for the next level.

A very active individual, Chrissy began her dance career on her high school dance team. She continued to dance through college on the Nationally ranked Illini Dance Team and UIC Dance Team, earning 3rd place at the College Dance Team Championships. For over 10 years, Chrissy has combined her passion in dance and movement as the strength coach for the National Dance Team Kick Champions, Maine South Hawkettes (Park Ridge, IL). She has created a program focusing on strength, conditioning and injury prevention for these adolescent dancers.  After dance, Chrissy found triathlon as her avenue to keeping her active, and has completed seven Ironman triathlons in addition to a number of 70.3, Olympic and sprint distance races. Chrissy is currently training for her 8th Ironman and works as a triathlon coach, helping beginners through elite athletes to the finish line in a variety of endurance events.

Chrissy’s professional interests are adolescent and adult athletic injury, endurance sports medicine and performing arts medicine. Her treatment philosophy is to treat the whole movement chain, using manual techniques to improve joint and soft tissue movement and incorporate improved mobility into performance related activities.  In addition, Chrissy is passionate about injury prevention, using common deficits for particular sports to create a proper corrective exercise program to decrease the risk of injury. Chrissy works with her patients to achieve their goals, with an overall goal to be stronger after therapy than before the injury. She is certified in a number of manual therapy techniques including:  ART (full body certified in Active Release Technique), Level 2 Dry Needling certified and Graston M-1 certified.  Chrissy has also completed her Certification in Applied Functional Science. Chrissy uses her USAT (USA Triathlon) Level 1 and IRONMAN Certified Coach, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and personal trainer certifications to create unique rehabilitation and performance programs for her patients and clients to achieve their ultimate goals.

In addition to triathlon, Chrissy is an avid sports fan, loves to hike and read. She lives in Chicago with her black lab, Hudson, who loves to play fetch and swim.
